PS3 Crosses the 30 Million Sold Mark

VGChartz have reported that Sony PS3 have crossed the 30 million sales mark worldwide.

About 6 million of the total 30 million sales came in last 5 months of 2009. The surge in sales can largely be contributed to the late August PS3 Slim release, the $299 PS3 price cut and recent of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan.

Right now PS3 is about 5.7 Million behind Xbox 360 and with the number of PS3 exclusives coming in 2010 lets see if PS3 will be able to catch up with Xbox 360 in next 12 months.
