Sony reveals new PSN figures

In their recent conference regarding their turnaround plans, Sony revealed that more than 33 million users are registered to the Playstation Network as of November 16, 2009. The online service launched alongside the Playstation 3 a little over three years ago on November 11, 2006. Since then, Sony has expanded the Playstation Network on to the PSP. With the launch of the PSP Go and the resurgence of the Playstation 3, you can expect this number to continue to grow. Here are some other Playstation Network data:

• 5.4 million unique users are signed-in to PSN daily
• 1.4 million Playstation Store visits daily
• 25 Petabyte downloads monthly
